You are seeing from the last few days in this running season, crops like wheat, barley, mustard and vegetable crops like potato, peas, Cauliflower have been damaged due to rains and hailstorm in different rates of India. Unseasonal Rain, winds, and hailstorms weather destroyed the crops in  Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Western Uttar Pradesh during the last 48 hours.

At this time grains were in the wheat crop and the wheat crop unable to rise. The mustard and gram crop in the following states are ready for harvest. Not only in these crops the weather affects the vegetable crop also. Lets read about the action taken in the following state Govt. 

The Haryana Chief Minister has already ordered Girdawari after the rains last week and the recent damage to the crops due to recent rains, thunderstorms, and hailstorms will also be covered. Reports of crop damage have been received from Hisar, Bhiwani, Kaithal, Karnal and other districts.

The Punjab local farmers said that wheat was to be harvested in mid-April, but due to rain and strong wind, the entire crop has been spread in the field. If the rain occurs in the coming one or two days, which will further increase the damage to crops. The farmers in Fathehgarh Sahib district of Punjab said that the government should immediately get a Girdawari ordered to compensate the farmers for the loss of their crops. In the current Rabi season, 180 lakh tonnes of wheat is estimated to come in the Mandis of Punjab, out of which government procurement likely of 130 lakh tonnes during the current year.

Several districts of Rajasthan including Jaipur, Dausa, Sriganganagar, and Jhunjhunu have seen heavy losses in crops during the last 48 hours due to Weather Changed and Rain, hail and strong winds. The CM of the state tweeted that the hailstorm in many districts is worrying and the government is with the farmers in the hour of this crisis. In the districts affected by hailstorms, the crop lodging and damage should be done as soon as possible.

Various cities of Uttar Pradesh received heavy rains on Thursday with strong winds. Hailstorms also occurred during the rains, due to which the crop of farmers was destroyed. Potato, wheat, mustard, peas, chickpea crops have been damaged due to hailstorm with rain. The Chief Minister of the State tweeted on his Twitter account on Friday, wrote that dear residents, there has been heavy rain and hailstorm in many parts of the state and the order for providing immediate relief to the affected area and farmers should be assured that the district collectors ordered for the assessment or the damage done to the standing crops in the field.

These unseasonal rains also occurred in the Gujrat on Thursday(05-03-2020) evening in many districts. Rainfall observed in the Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Anand, Porbandar, Dwarka due to this there is a possibility of damage to agricultural crops. The sudden change in weather is due to the low pressure created in the region. On Friday, heavy rains are also may occur in many parts of the Gujrat State.

The Govt. of these states is monitoring the damage percentage in their districts to provide compensation to the farmers for damaged crops due to unseasonal weather and hailstorm.
