Now shopkeepers will not be able to sell fertilizers and medicines to farmers in surplus, department issued notice

Haryana Agriculture Department has issued a warning to the shopkeepers selling fertilizers and seeds in the state. The department has warned the shopkeepers that they will no longer give any kind of medicine related to agriculture to any farmer without asking himself. Now shopkeepers cannot instigate any farmer to buy zinc, sulfur or any other kind of medicine. On doing so, the department will take immediate action against the shopkeeper.

In this regard, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department Dr Atmaram Godara said that for the past several days, complaints are coming to the notice of Agriculture Minister JP Dalal and Agriculture Department about the sale of grains and seeds by the shopkeepers. Was. Whenever a farmer goes to the market to get DAP or urea, the said shopkeeper tries to forcibly give zinc, sulfur or any other type of medicine to the farmers. The shopkeeper takes more money than the rate fixed by the government. In such a situation, the shopkeepers collect extortion from the farmers for their benefit and the farmer has to bear a lot of financial loss.

Dr. Godara said that taking cognizance of this matter, on the orders of Agriculture Minister JP Dalal, the Agriculture Department has constituted three teams, which will go to the market and investigate all the shopkeepers. If any shopkeeper is found to be doing irregularities, strict action will be taken against him. If in any way the complaint of a shopkeeper selling fertilizers and seeds comes to the department, then the department will impose a fine on that shopkeeper and can also confiscate the license of the shopkeeper.
