The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, cleared by the Union Cabinet last month, is supposed to provide support to Indian farmers, Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS), farmer producer organizations (FPOs) and agri-entrepreneurs to create community farming assets and post-harvest infrastructure. These assets are expected to enable farmers to urge greater value for his or her products as they're going to be ready to store and sell at higher prices, reduce wastage, and increase processing and value addition.

The new agri-infra fund, the duration of which can be 10 years till 2029, aims to supply medium-to-long term debt financing facility for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming assets through interest subvention and support.

The funds are going to be provided for fixing of cold stores and chains, warehousing, silos, assaying, grading, and packaging units, e-marketing points linked to e-trading platforms, and ripening chambers, and PPP projects for the crop.

The agri-infra fund, which can be managed and monitored through a web Management information system( MIS); platform, will enable all the qualified entities to use for loans under the fund.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, the govt is providing annually Rs 6,000 in three equal installments to 14 crore farmers. the quantity is directly transferred into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode. Prime Minister also released ₹17,000 crores to 8.5 crore farmers today as in the sixth installment of the PM-Kisan scheme, taking the entire amount disbursed thereunder to ₹90,000 crores since its launch in February last year.

We hope this time farmers will get some benefits from Central Govt Scheme.
