It can be used as mulch for decreasing soil evaporation and to conserve soil moisture. Pusa decomposer capsule can be used @ 4 capsules/ha for decomposing the residue of the paddy.

Keeping the temperature in view sowing of mustard should be done during this week. This is a suitable time for the sowing of a pea. Before sowing, farmers are advised to ensure optimum soil moisture for better seed germination. Sowing of garlic and carrot can be done in a raised bed. Sowing of grams should be done this week.

Transplanting of mature seedlings of cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, and tomato may also be done in raised beds. Recommended spacing should be maintained. Nursery preparation should be started for the late crop which matures in December or January.
