Agricultural exports up 82 percent in September

Agricultural exports registered a growth of 43.4 percent in the first half of the current financial year and reached the figure of Rs 53,626.6 crore. The exports Rs 37,397.3 crore in the same period last year. In India agricultural exports increased around 82 percent to Rs 9,296 crore in September 2020 from Rs 5,114 crore in September 2019.

The ministry said in a statement, 'The government's consistent and concerted efforts to boost agricultural exports are showing results, as exports of essential agricultural commodities grew by 43.4 percent in the April-September 2020 period despite the Covid-19 crisis. And has reached Rs 53,626.6 crore. ' Peanut exports grew by 35 percent from April to September.

Wheat exports rise more than 200%


Similarly, a 104 percent increase has been registered in refined sugar, 206 percent in wheat, 13 percent in basmati rice, and 105 percent in non-basmati rice.
