Training for mushroom production will be given here from September 1

There are few such products in the field of agriculture which give more production and profit in a small space or at home. Mushroom is one of these products. For the last few years, mushroom cultivation is being promoted a lot by the government as it can contribute significantly in increasing the income of the farmers. To encourage farmers for mushroom production, the government also gives subsidy and training on mushroom cultivation. Due to being a new type of crop and for the production of different types of mushrooms, it becomes necessary for the farmers to take training so that the farmers can produce it without any loss. 

Along with this, apart from training farmers for mushroom cultivation through agricultural universities and Krishi Vigyan Kendras, they also give training to prepare various products so that enterprises can be established along with employment generation in rural areas. Like every year, this year also, training is being given to the farmers on various topics of mushroom on behalf of Dr. Rajendra Prasad University in Samastipur, Bihar. Training will be given on Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation Technique Through Pusa, farmers are given various types of training on mushroom. This time, “Entrepreneurship Training Program” and “Medical Mushroom Farming Technique” will be given by Pusa.

How many seats for application and when is it starting? In the month of September, two types of training will be given on mushroom. The training duration of both is different. Which is as follows: - 40 candidates will be selected for the training program on Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation Technique from 1st September to 03rd September 2021. Entrepreneurship Training Program 10 candidates will be selected for the training program which will run from 1st September to 30th September. This training program will be done on the principle of "first come first serve". 

When to register for training? Entrepreneurship training program and registration for getting training on mushroom spawn production technology has started. These registrations will be done till 25 August 2021. Applications can be made only till the required number of candidates is filled. How much will be the fee for training? Two types of training are being given on mushroom in the month of September. The fee for both is different which is as follows. While the fee for Entrepreneurship Training Program is Rs 10,000, for Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation Technique, the fee is Rs 600. Apart from this, you will have to pay a separate fee for accommodation and food for training or you can make your own arrangements.

Where to register for training, applicants can contact Dr. Rajendra Prasad Pusa Central Agricultural University, Samastipur for registration. If any participant wants to apply then they can also apply online. For this, send the form online to the applicant by filling a form and submitting it online according to the training program. Apart from this, interested farmer brothers and sisters can also take training of mushroom from Krishi Vigyan Kendra of their district or agricultural university of their state.
