Subsidy given under Krishi Yantra Bank Scheme The Bihar government is providing subsidy for setting up agricultural banks in 164 blocks of 13 districts of the state.

Under this scheme, there is a provision to give 80 percent subsidy to the beneficiary. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can buy agricultural machinery up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh and the state government is providing 80 percent subsidy on this. That is, a maximum subsidy of Rs 8 lakh will be given to the beneficiary. Even if you buy agricultural machinery above this, you will get a grant up to a maximum of Rs.8 lakh.

Who can apply for application

13 districts have been selected for establishment of agricultural bank in Bihar. Farmer groups and other groups of these 13 districts can apply. These 13 districts are as follows:- Araria, Aurangabad, Banka, Begusarai, Gaya, Jamui, Katihar, Khagaria, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, Purnia, Sheikhpura and Sitamarhi. The scheme has been implemented in 164 blocks of these districts. The eligibility under the scheme is small land farmers in Bihar. The number of small and marginal farmers is more here, so the benefit of this scheme is not being given to any one farmer.

For the scheme, Jeevika's group / village organization / cluster federation, Farmers Interest Group (FIG) affiliated to Aatma, farmer club affiliated to NABARD / nationalized bank, farmer producer organization (FPO) and self-help group to set up Krishi Yantra Bank are eligible. The selection of villages (villages with population more than 1000 according to the 2011 census) is to be done by the district administration on the basis of backwardness.

When can farmers apply for taking agricultural machinery on grant, online application for establishment of Krishi Yantra Bank, applications are starting from 2 August 2021. Farmer groups and other types of groups / organizations can apply for this scheme till 31 August 2021.
