20 crops will cover under the Horticulture Insurance Scheme

As we are aware about the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme is being run by the Central Government. Under this, farmers are compensated for crop losses. On this basis, the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme is being started by the Haryana Government. It is being told that the state's CM Manohar Lal Khattar will start it soon.

The entire layout of the Horticulture Insurance Scheme has been prepared by the Horticulture Department. The special thing is that 10 crore rupees are being arranged as the starting capital for this scheme.

 20 crops will cover under the Horticulture Insurance Scheme.

Under this scheme, a total of 20 horticultural crops have been included, there are 14 vegetable crops, while 2 spices and 4 fruit crops are included. Explain that these include onions, potatoes, tomatoes, peas, cauliflower, carrots, okra, gheea, bitter gourd, brinjal, green chillies, cabbage and radish. Apart from this, turmeric and garlic are named in spice crops, while fruits include mango, kinnow, plum and guava.

Horticultural crops are also included under the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme, but it is required to deposit a premium of 5 percent of the assured amount per acre, but under the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme, the amount will be 2.5 percent, thus farmers should deposit less amount Will be.

Premium to be paid under Horticulture Insurance Scheme:

  • The insurance amount for vegetables and spices is 30 thousand per acre.
  • There will be 40 thousand rupees per acre for fruits.
  • Farmers will have to pay only 5 percent of the insurance amount.
  • Similarly, the compensation amount is divided into four categories 25, 50, 75 and 100.
  • The compensation amount, or we can say loss bearing factor will be based on the survey.

Natural disasters will be also covered under this scheme:

Covers damage to crops due to inclement weather, hail, temperature, frost, flood, cloudburst, canal and drainage, water logging, thunderstorms, storms and fire.

How to avail the Horticulture Crop Scheme:

The farmer will have to register my crop and mine details to take advantage of this scheme.
