Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal informed that the state is expected to produce 1033.33 lakh quintal of sugarcane in the current season, of which 769 lakh quintal of sugarcane will be crushed by sugar mills. Not only this, but the emphasis will also be on increasing the percentage of sugar recovery from sugarcane compared to last year.
The Haryana government has announced an increase of Rs 10 per quintal price of sugarcane to Rs 350. Crushing work of 8 mills has been started in the state, the crushing season in 3 mills is going to start next week.
This will enable the farmers to sow the next crop. Chairman of Cooperative Sugar Mill Federation and MLA of Shahabad Ram Karan Kala said that by increasing the price of sugarcane, farmers will get more benefit of 4 thousand per acre. Nishant Kumar Yadav, president of DC Karnal and Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal, said that more than 3.5 lakh quintals of sugar were produced by crushing 35 lakh quintals of sugarcane in the last season.
This time, more than 35 lakh quintals of sugarcane will be crushed. Managing Director of Cooperative Sugar Mill Aditi welcomed those present at the inauguration of the 45th crushing season of the mill.
