Pests Problem due to low rain

Farmer
As have seen that in the last few days the rain is observed in most parts of the country. This weather is very important for all the crops, especially for Paddy and Cotton.

In most states like Assam, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and the Southern States of the country have observed excess rainfall. But in some states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan have deficient rainfall. Due to low rain and high temperature, the cost of cultivation of a crop is increased.

Also, the weather becomes favorable for different diseases and pests. Today will read about weather and crop. How Weather affects crop production and helps to increase the profit of farmers.

Most of the areas in India like some Rajsthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana where the rainfall data is decreasing year by year. In some areas in these states, the excess amount of rain affects and destroys the crop. Means low and high rain both can damage the crop and a challenge for every farmer. If the rain is low then the different pests and diseases also occur and damage the crops.

Most of the diseases and pests grow/germinate in high relative humidity and low temperature. They can easily survive on crops.  Some pests like Aphids and jassids which never can be removed from the crop by organically or chemically easily. They will increase their population and sucking the sap of the plant or suck the leaves.  The best method to remove them is only rain.

Now, this type of aphids and jassids present in cotton, vegetables like ladyfinger(okra), Brinjal, Chillies, and in fruits like Orange, Guava, Lemon plants. They can cause affect the quality as well as quantity. Farmers have to face a big problem with this type of pests and they want to control them but they can grow in this weather and affect the crop.

The rain is only the best way to control the aphids and jassids in all types of crops otherwise if farmers want to control them by chemically the cost is very high and it can be controlled for 4-5 days maximum and again a spray is required. Some farmers can control them by spray Neem Oil and Lassi which have a better result.
