This year, the sowing of kharif crops has been delayed due to the late arrival of the monsoon. The monsoon arrived in the country with a delay of 7 days, and its progress was further hampered by the cyclonic storm Biparjoy. However, after the cyclone subsided, it has been advancing rapidly. The monsoon has now covered most of the states in the country, and it has fully covered several states. The southwest monsoon's boundary line is currently passing through Alibag, Solapur, Udgir, Nagpur, Mandla, Sonbhadra, Buxar, Siddharthnagar, Pantnagar, Bijnor, Yamunanagar, Una, and Dras.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon entered Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and parts of Maharashtra on June 24. It has also covered Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and all the northeastern states. With the monsoon's coverage over most parts of the country, the rainy season is expected to begin in these areas.

The monsoon has reached these districts in Madhya Pradesh:

According to the IMD's Bhopal center, the southwest monsoon has reached some districts in the Jabalpur region (Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni), as well as some parts of the Shadol and Rewa regions. During June 24 to June 28, thunderstorms and rainfall activities are expected to continue in most parts of all districts in Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rainfall may also occur in some areas during this period.

When will Rajasthan receive the monsoon?

According to the IMD's Jaipur center, the conditions are favorable for the monsoon to remain active and progress further in the coming days. It is likely to reach some parts of eastern Rajasthan in the next 2-4 days. Meanwhile, from June 26 to June 28, heavy rainfall is expected in Kota, Udaipur region, and surrounding areas of southeastern Rajasthan. Parts of northwestern Rajasthan may experience scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Possible rainfall in these districts of Bihar:

According to the IMD's Patna center, the monsoon has covered all districts in the state of Bihar. However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall during June 24 to June 28 due to its weakened phase. Some places in West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar, Samastipur, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, and Khagaria may experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Possible rainfall in these districts of Chhattisgarh:

According to the IMD's Raipur center, the monsoon has entered all districts of Chhattisgarh. During June 24 to June 28, most places in Surguja, Jashpur, Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur, Bilaspur, Raigar.

Possible rainfall in these districts of Uttar Pradesh

According to the forecast issued by the Lucknow center of the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has entered some parts of Uttar Pradesh. During the period of June 24 to June 28, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in the following districts of Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Mathura, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Aligarh, Etah, Hathras, Kasganj, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Amethi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Bareilly, Badaun, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Bahraich, Balrampur, Gonda, Barabanki, Shravasti, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj. The possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in most places in these districts, while heavy rainfall may occur in some areas.

According to the forecast from the Ranchi center of the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has reached all districts of Jharkhand. As a result, during the period of June 24 to June 28, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in the following districts of Jharkhand: Bokaro, Chatra, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, East Singhbhum, Garhwa, Giridih, Godda, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Khunti, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Sahibganj, Saraikela Kharsawan, Simdega, and West Singhbhum. Most places in these districts may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, while heavy rainfall is also possible in some areas.
